Venice
Campo dei Frari and Basilica di Santa Maria Gloriosa dei Frari
This is one of the biggest chuches in Venice. Inside are some important works of art like two paintings from Tizian, who is also buried here. The construction of the church started in the middle of the 13th century. But it needed many changes and was finished around 1450.
Venice is a unique island city. Spread on 118 islands, it is the faszinating heritage of a very rich history. Since 1987 Venice is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. But due to the unlimited mass tourism, the world heritage status is endangered. Especially the big cruise ships cause many problems with driving into the lagoon and flooding the city with tourists who don't spend money for things which are free on board.
